Richard Hunter Bond - Optometrist Richard Hunter Bond - Optometrist

Richard Hunter Bond, O.D., is a graduate of Denham Springs High School in Denham Springs, LA. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA, in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in zoology. In 1990 he trained at the Medical Center of Baton Rouge for certification in heart function electrocardiogram.

Dr. Bond graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA, in 1996 for Doctor of Optometry, with a GPA of 3.55.

He attended clinical training in 1994 and 1995 at The Eye Institute, Pennsylvania College of Optometry for experience in primary and emergency care using DPA's and TPA's. He is proficient in the management and co-management of ocular disease with specialty services in Glaucoma, Retina, Neurology, Lasers and Contact Lenses.

Chris Wroten - Optometrist Chris Wroten - Optometrist

Chris Wroten, O.D., is passionate about all areas of eye care, from glasses and contact lenses, to medical and surgical eye care, striving to provide each patient with comprehensive, individualized care as if they were a member of his own family. A native of Baton Rouge and a proud alumnus of Louisiana State University, Dr. Wroten received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering prior to attending Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

After completing a residency in hospital-based primary eye care at the Memphis Veterans Affairs Medical Center, he eventually joined what is now the Bond-Wroten Eye Clinics, where he serves as Chief Operations Officer.

Dr. Wroten has received several prominent national, regional, and state awards, including being named the Young Optometrist of the Year by the American Optometric Association (AOA), the Southern Council of Optometrists (SECO), and the Optometry Association of Louisiana (OAL).

He has also been named Optometrist of the Year by the OAL and Young Alumnus of the Year by Southern College of Optometry. Dr. Wroten holds adjunct faculty appointments at several schools & colleges of optometry, has twice been elected President of the OAL, and has served on numerous committees within the AOA, the OAL, and SECO.

He has also twice been appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Optometry Examiners by the Governor of Louisiana, is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, a Fellow of the American Society of Optometric Surgeons, and serves on Southern College of Optometry’s Board of Trustees.

Dr. Wroten has lectured internationally on a variety of eye care topics, authored numerous professional articles and poster presentations, remains active in his church and local community, and enjoys sports, travel, and spending time with his wonderful family.
Scott Nelson - Ophthalmologist Scott Nelson - Ophthalmologist

Dr. Nelson is the first ophthalmologist to perform LASIK in Baton Rouge. He is a native of Baton Rouge and a graduate of LSU Medical School. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He served as Medical Director for the Williamson Eye Center in Baton Rouge before opening his own practice.

Dr. Nelson specializes in general eye exams, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma management, dry eye disease, LASIK, and cataract surgery.

He is well known in the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas for his specialty in life style improvement lens implants which offer the patient freedom from glasses and contact lenses after cataract surgery.

Dr. Nelson has served the Baton Rouge and Gonzales area for over 19 years.
Catherine Coleman-Johnson, - Optometrist Catherine Coleman-Johnson, - Optometrist

Catherine Coleman, O.D., is a Louisiana native, and former graduate of Denham Springs High School. Dr. Coleman continued her education at Southeastern Louisiana University where she earned a degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Coleman’s clinical experience includes Pediatrics, contact lenses, primary care, and Ocular Disease.

Prior to entering optometry school, Dr. Coleman taught Chemistry in Livingston Parish. During her time as an Optometry student, she was elected Class President and was re-elected by her class in each successive year.

She was also President of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. She initiated the Private Practice Club at UAB and became the first President of the club in addition to being a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.

She served on many committees during her tenure as an optometry student and was an inaugural member of the Student/Faculty Liaison Committee. She was chosen as the only UAB Optometry student to serve on the New Dean Search Committee, and the Faculty, Staff, and Student Success committee.

Dr. Coleman was on the Dean’s List each semester at UAB, and received numerous scholarships for her academics and professional achievements.
Adam Paddock - Optometrist Adam Paddock - Optometrist

Dr. Adam Paddock was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana. He graduated from Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, during which time he was blessed to have met his wife and best friend, Amy, at a high school football game at Tad Gormley Stadium. He studied interdisciplinary coursework, literature, and zoology in the Louisiana State University Honors College before completing his LSU undergraduate degree.

Dr. Paddock earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Clinical Externship rotations included the James H. Quillen VAMC in Johnson City, TN and Eyecare Associates in Metairie, LA, where he learned firsthand from his childhood optometrist and mentor, Dr. Chuck Stumpf. Areas of particular clinical experience and interest gained from these sites include: ocular disease, low vision rehabilitation, and family primary eyecare.

On returning to Louisiana after optometry school, Dr. Paddock spent four years exploring practice opportunities in Metairie and Baton Rouge before his serendipitous meeting with Dr. Chris Wroten and beginning the blessing of his career at Bond-Wroten Eye Clinic. Dr. Paddock enjoys the wide variety of patients at Bond-Wroten, spending much of his time managing glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, anterior segment diseases, and primary eyecare, including refractive conditions, contact lens and pediatric patients. Limited but dedicated areas of his schedule are carved out for specialty service in low vision rehabilitation care and specialty contact lens fitting.

Dr. Paddock is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Optometry Association of Louisiana, the New Orleans Contact Lens Society, and he served as President of the Northshore Society of the OAL from 2015-2017. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and is also certified to perform advanced procedures in Louisiana. He thoroughly enjoys volunteering with the Louisiana Special Olympics Opening Eyes program. Dr. Paddock holds adjunct faculty positions with Southern College of Optometry and University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry and has served as the Extern Director for fourth year optometry students rotating through the clinic since 2017.

Dr. Paddock and his wife raised their three children in Hammond as members of Holy Ghost School and Church. While away from work, hobbies include spectating at his kids’ activities (including loads of soccer, dance, and lacrosse over the years), LSU sports, and gardening.
Julia Reimold - Optometrist Julia Reimold - Optometrist

Dr. Reimold is a Tennessee native who received her undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. After graduation, she attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where she received her doctor of optometry in 2020. She then completed her residency in primary care and ocular disease at Bond Wroten Eye Clinic in 2021 where she has remained on staff.

Professionally, Dr. Reimold is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Optometric Association of Louisiana. She is a passionate optometrist who enjoys providing quality eye care and education to her patients.

She enjoys all aspects of optometry, including ocular disease, contact lenses, and glasses. Outside of the office, Dr. Reimold enjoys spending time with her family and watching Tennessee football.
Millien Coralis - Optometrist Coralis Millien - Optometrist

Coralis Millien, O.D. was born and raised in South Florida. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida with a major in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a minor in Psychology. Dr. Millien attended Southern College of Optometry where she graduated and received her doctorate degree in May 2023.

While in school, Dr. Millien was a part of National Optometric Student Association, Optometric Private Practice Club and Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. Dr. Millien is very passionate about the care and well-being of her patients and those around her.

In her free time, Dr. Millien enjoys spending time with friends and family and caring for her houseplants.
